Burak Ayazoğlu

The artist graduated from Kocaeli Anatolian Fine Arts High School in 2007. He completed his undergraduate education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Ceramics and Glass Design Department, which he entered in 2008. He continues his graduate studies at the same university. He studied sculpture at the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts in Germany, where he went with the Erasmus exchange program in 2012, at the Susanne Windelen Workshop.

 

He took on the assistantship of names such as Alexander Wagner, Ole Lislerud, Hermann Nitsch in different projects. The artist, who embarks on the perception of multidisciplinary art, often emphasizes the diversity and interaction between mediums in his works. He continues his art practice in his own workshop with the three-dimensional digital modeling and 3d printing methods he has added to his working techniques in recent years.

 

“The mainstay of the forms I use in my current works is geometry, which can be observed even in the smallest structure of all forms in nature. In the works I produce with reference to this, either implicitly or explicitly, I make the invisible more visible. These small building blocks repeat or reject each other; I present structures composed of controlled or sometimes random relations.”
