Gül Ilgaz

The artist's works, which make interdisciplinary productions with photography, computer-mediated images, video and site-specific installations, focus on daily life, the problematics of the geography and social environment in which she lives, together with the experiences of her own inner world. The artist, who graduated from Mimar Sinan University Painting Department, also took part in the Informal Architecture Program held at Calgary Banff Center, and the artist's work was exhibited representing Turkey at the 50th Venice Biennale. As the creator of Gölyazı Project, which is a social responsibility project, Ilgaz's works have been exhibited in many countries such as the USA, France, Belgium, Canada, England, Slovenia, Macedonia, Belgium, China, Bulgaria, Northern Cyprus. Recently, her last solo exhibition, "Breaking Point", was at the Milli Reasürans Art Gallery. The artist lives and produces in Istanbul.
