Touching on cultural multi-layeredness in his works, the artist uses different methods and materials in addition to traditional materials in his productions. Focusing on his personal history and the history of the socio-cultural structure in the geography he lives in and his lost memory, the fire and light element that Kılıçarslan frequently uses in his works symbolizes renewal as a metaphor of life. He graduated from Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department in 1984, He completed his master's degree in the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at M.S.Ü. The artist, who studied at the New York Student of Art League in 1998 and became an Assistant in the Painting Department of Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty in 1990, received the title of Assistant Professor at the same institution in 2005. Kılıçarslan, who participated in many national and international art events, held 5 personal exhibitions and Land Art Projects. The artist gives Painting Art Workshop Classes at Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department, lives and produces in Istanbul.
