Öykü Güneş

Öykü Güneş was born in 1990 in İzmir and has been producing in the field of painting and ceramics since 2014. She graduated from the Department of International Relations in 2014. During her undergraduate education, she carried out various studies in Turkey and Europe, including the fields of human rights and conscientious objection. She is continuing her master's degree in Gender Studies. She has master's studies on "queer art", "masculinity" and "activism in the arts". She is currently writing her thesis on the subject of "sex metamorphosis in bodies in the period of mannerism". She is also the executive and curator of the independent art initiative called the ‘Gri Alan’.
