The Insanity of Normality

What do the systems that determine the “normal” mean today? What does “reality” mean to us in a global world, in an economic, political and social system that is about to collapse? The concept of "truth" today seems too vague. The “Madness of Normality” exhibition, which will be watched at Kun Art Space, takes its title from Arno Gruen's theory on human destructiveness. The exhibition will display the painting, sculpture, photography and video productions of Çınar Eslek, Enes Debran, Gökhan Deniz, Gönül Nuhoğlu, Gül Ilgaz, Hacer Kıroğlu, İsmet Doğan, Kazım Şimşek, Kerim Kılıçarslan, Nejat Satı, Neriman Polat and Yasin Uysallar. brings together studies dealing with the concepts of boredom, fear, imagination and imagination. The exhibition points out that art is a field of liberation in a world where those who cannot stand the loss of human values are accepted as "crazy" and those who have lost their human roots are accepted as "normal". According to Derya Yücel, the curator of the exhibition; The madness of art, the confrontational and detachment attitudes of the artists can be read as a reflection of the individual's liberation efforts within the "reality" accepted as normal.
